We figured we better do an update or those of you who might occasionally view the blog might think we have just been laying around in the sun working on our tan. We have been doing a few other things and have remembered to take our camera along.
Southwest Florida has a minor league hockey team called the Everblades (Everglades...get it?) and we took in a game they played against the Toledo Walleyes. We think they stole the name from Minnesota.
Fortunately the Everblades won the game.....
Unfortunately the action was so fast that our little camera was unable to capture everything on the ice.
A good time was had by all (except for the Toledo fans).
Michele's book club from Minnesota, also wintering in Florida (minus one who sought warmth in another State), met to enjoy lunch and discuss their latest book. A week later the same group plus two other friends met to celebrate two birthdays.
While Michele does lunch, Gordon is off playing golf....
Near our campground is an eagles nest with and online camera/web site. Two eaglets were born and are beginning to get their flying feathers. We have been watching with binoculars and on the website. We attempted a picture with our camera......
Their first flight should be happening soon. If you want to tune in the following is the website:

The Twins trucks have arrived at Hammond Field!!! Some players arrived early, pitchers and catchers report on Tuesday, Feb 12. We bought tickets for a game later this month against the Baltimore Orioles....Go Twins!!
Friends from Minnesota stopped by....Gary, Kevin and Mogie "the doggie"....we had a great visit. Too bad they are headed back to Minnesota and the cold, snowy weather.
We had to attend the Ft Myers RV show just down the road from our campground......
Saw lots of RV's but we still like the one we have.
Visiting Naples Fl was our most recent adventure. We spent a day visiting shops, enjoying lunch in an outdoor cafe and walking on the beach....

Nice house....wonder if they will accept our offer? |
PS...Gordon is recovering well from his gallbladder surgery......
