It was very easy to walk through the city of Savannah. We enjoyed the many squares with gardens and monuments surrounded by historic residences and buildings.

Location where Forrest Gump sat in the park.

Writer, Flannery O'Connor's childhood home
Birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts.

The Savannah River borders the historic district and is a waterway for international shipping.....

From the city to the beach, Tybee Island...

We love Savannah. Did you read "The Garden of Good and Evil"? Love the book. It takes place in Savannah. You probably saw people walking around with the book visiting some of the places from the book. Did you get to any of the cemeteries? Tons of history there.
