Yellowstone is yet another amazing National Park.  Each park we have seen has its' own unique qualities. Yellowstone has many different features as you drive the two main loops. Thermals, geysers, hot springs, mud pots, travertine terraces, rugged mountains, expansive valleys, lakes, waterfalls and SNOW anytime of the year...be ready for the pass you might want to see to be closed on any particular day.  By the way, it also has many varieties of wildlife...some you see and some you don't....watch out for that sneaky bear.

Here's a sample of what we saw.  What we found in Yellowstone and other parks is that some vistas we were not able to capture....you had to be there.

Cowboys herding Bison back into the Park. Annual event to remove them from the community of West Yellowstone.
Bison calves are born in April and May.
Some are more friendly than others.
Elk "hanging out"
Geysers, hot springs, fumaroles (steam vents)....

Old Faithful

Mud pot

Mammoth Hot Springs....Travertine Terraces

Mountains,valleys, waterfalls......

Artist Point
Yellowstone Lake

And snow.....recently opened on May 25th...Dunraven Pass..we just made it....

Off to stops in Montana, Wyoming and then the Black Hills.....
