On our initial return to Minnesota we stopped at Itasca State Park, home of the headwaters of the Mississippi.

The CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps was very active in the State Parks in the 1930's....the cabin and stairs below are examples of some of their projects.

We really enjoyed the variety of scenery and spent time biking and on a rented pontoon.
