Travels across South Dakota.... Wall and Mitchell.

The famous Wall Drug, an emporium of many delights......includes: a working pharmacy, 5 cent coffee, good donuts (almost as good as the Lindstrom Bakery...ya otta try 'em)


On our way to Mitchell we stopped in an area along the Lewis and Clark Expedition trail....

Mitchell.....Home of the World's only Corn Palace....About 275,000 ears off corn are used each year to re-design the panels.


Also visited the Carnegie Resource Center....


The interior dome of the building contains a mural, "Sun and Rain Clouds over Hills",  by Yankton Sioux Artist Oscar Howe....



Spent time at the McGovern Legacy Museum on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University, Alma Mater of Senator George McGovern.....




Off to Minnesota and Itasca State Park......
